The non-dancers' Bible

Peter has an interesting post this morning. He classifies it as humour but to me the omission of a simple word or line has implications for the proof-texting Baptist of his story.

Suzanne, thanks for the link. To be fair to the Russian Baptist pastor in the story, the Russian Synodal Bible is fairly consistent in its misleading translation of the word in question , so he is not relying on just one verse. See also my comment, the second on my own post, where I speculate on why this issue may have arisen.

Don't worry. I couldn't be worried at this one. I am a bad dancer myself. Have you ever seen Garrison Keilor demonstrate how much worse Brethren are than the Baptists at dancing?

He is a well known comedian here, whose secret is that he grew up Plymouth Brethren as I did.
